Hi It's Unicorn~~

Binance is currently the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the world. Although most countries don’t have regulatory against cryptocurrency, Binance provides global trading and various cryptocurrency to trade. That why most cryptocurrency investors will choose Binance to trade.

Regarding to the security issue, trading on the Binance platform is safe. After all, its trading volume is the largest in the world. If there are doubts in transaction part, Binance won’t be the largest exchange. The main potential risk comes from technicality. Since blockchain is still a very new technology, all information is also stored on the Internet, and ownership of cryptocurrencies is not real-named, so It is important to protect information security from hackers’ attack.

Binance has especially strengthened the security of the trading platform. Users are required to set up two-factor authentication (2FA) when registering an account. As long as you log in, trade or withdraw funds, Binance will send a verification code to your mobile phone. Binance also uses CryptoCurrency Security Standards (CCSS) on their website to protect accounts.

In addition, Binance also launched the User Safe Asset Fund (SAFU) in 2018, the function of SAFU is to reserve fund when the platform is attacked by hackers. The source of this reserve fund is from 10% of all transaction fees on Binance.

In May 2019, Binance was attacked by a hacker and stolen 7,000 bitcoins, and then the SAFU fund was activated. Therefore, it didn’t cause any money loss to Binance's customers.

Binance supports two types of 2FA: SMS and Google. It also supports U2F-compatible authenticators (authentication standards developed by Google and Yubico). This is a hardware device that only can be connected to the computer via USB to log in to the account, so it is considered relatively safe.
